LIMBO New production (R&D 2019, tour 2020) Performance-Sharing 29th November in London. Free but limited capacity. Book here
CONCEPT LIMBO is a breath-catching and highly physical dance work by female choreographers Zhibo Zhao (China) and Avatâra Ayuso (Spain). For the choreographic process both choreographers have shared every creative input but their responses takes us to two limbos, two unsettled worlds of uncertainty. In their LIMBO the audience is invited into an edgy performative space in constant transition where the actions and relationships get shifted, changed, distorted; where the dancers await for a resolution that might never come, and where while awaiting they frantically try to make physical sense of who they are, where they come from, where they are going to.
This preview of LIMBO is the result of the first R&D between the two female choreographers Avatâra and Zhibo. They met in 2009 at the ArtsCross Project in China led by Middlsex Unversity. Zhibo is now (PdD Candidate at Middlesex University) and Avatâra is Artistic Director of her AVA DANCE COMPANY
